ANALISIS TINGKAT PARTISIPASI PEMILIH DALAM PESTA DEMOKRASI (STUDI KASUS PEMILIHAN KUWU DI KABUPATEN CIREBON)

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the level of voter participation in a democratic party, especially election of the village head. This research method using a qualitative descriptive analysis approach. Data collection techniques obtained by; 1) Literature or Literature Study, 2) Field Study, by means of: Observation; Interview; Documentation. While the data validity testing technique was carried out by the data triangulation technique test, namely (check, recheck, crosschek) various data was obtained from various sources, from various methods / techniques, and from various times. Data analysis using descriptive data analysis techniques, which describes the actual situation of the object was researched according to the actual situation of the object was researched, according to the actual situation during the research. The results showed that the level of community participation was still low because the mindset was not yet open or the mindset was aware of the importance of choosing a village head leader. The low factor of community participation in the Village Head election process is also that voters prioritize work rather than spending time to vote, do not have adequate transportation facilities and are also far from home to the polling station.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat partisipasi pemilih dalam pesta demokrasi khususnya pemilihan kepala desa atau pemilihan kuwu. Metode penelitian ini  dengan menggunakan pendekatan analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik Pengumpulan data diperoleh dengan cara; 1) Studi Kepustakaan atau Literatur, 2) Studi Lapangan, dengan cara : Observasi; Wawancara; Dokumentasi. Sedang Teknik Pengujian Keabsahan Data dilakukan dengan Uji teknik triangulasi data yaitu (check, recheck, crosschek) berbagai data yang diperoleh dari berbagai sumber, dari berbagai cara/teknik, dan dari berbagai waktu. Analisis data dengan menggunakan  teknik analisis data deskriptif yaitu menggambarkan keadaan sebenarnya tentang obyek yang diteliti menurut keadaan sebenarnya tentang objek yang diteliti, menurut keadaan yang sebenarnya saat penelitian berlangsung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat partisipasi Masyarakat masih rendah dikarenakan masih belum terbukanya mindset atau pemiikiran sadar akan pentingnya memilih pemimpin kepala desa. Faktor rendahnya partisipasi Masyarakat dalam proses pemilihan kuwu juga  para pemilih lebih mengutamakan pekerjaan dibanding dengan meluangkan waktu untuk memilih, tidak mempunyai sarana transportasi yang memadai dan juga jarak dari rumah ke TPS yang jauh.
